Talk by Dr.Abdul Bari khan at The intellect School On September 8th, 2023, Dr. Abdul Bari, co-founder of The Indus Hospital and a distinguished cardiac surgeon, delivered an inspiring talk to O & A Level students at The Intellect School. The event, organized by the Community Service Society, featured Dr. Bari’s presentation, which centered on the theme of perseverance, dedication, and compassion, drawing from his personal experiences in the medical field and philanthropy. He emphasized the vital role of education and empathy in one’s life. The event also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between The Intellect School and The Indus Hospital, laying the ground work for potential internship programs involving students. Annual Presentation KGII “Fairy tales, fairy tales, fairytales were here, they weren’t true, they weren’t real, but fun to see and hear!” Imagination surely has no end and the performance of KG-II proved just that! Pakistan Day Junior II Girls On 22nd March Staff and students of Junior II celebrated Pakistan Day with zeal and enthusiasm, students got the opportunity to participate in speeches, poetry recitals and interactive quizzes. Science & Business Project The theme of the project day was “Act Responsible Think Sustainable” because our actions shape the world, we live in. Some of the shown projects were 3D models with activities, some were operational projects, and the remainder were research-based projects that demonstrated practical application. Annual Art Exhibition Junior I Section “Every child is an artist.” – Pablo Picasso To celebrate the creativity of our young artists, the Intellect School – Junior I Section organized an ‘Art Exhibition’ for the parents from 5th – 8th May, 2023. The exhibit showcased the art and craftwork of the young children of Grade I – III. Trip to the WinterLand – Junior I Section The Winterland field trip was a stupendous experience. The students of Junior I section gathered together to board the coasters, filled with anticipation and excitement throughout their journey. Upon finally reaching their destination, students were ecstatic to be there.The rides were exhilarating, providing a unique and thrilling experience. The zipline was a particular highlight, providing a rush of adrenaline as the students as well as teachers soared through the air. The kids toboggan down the slope was equally exciting, with the students laughing and screaming as they slid down the slope. The highlight of the trip was the fake snowfall, which was a phenomenal experience for everyone, particularly since there is no natural snowfall in Karachi, making it a unique and memorable experience. Declamation Contest 2023 The halls of The Intellect School came alive with the sweet symphony of words on September 13, 2023, as students showcased their linguistic prowess in a spectacular Bilingual Declamation Event. This event, which celebrated the beauty of both English and Urdu languages, left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to witness it. The Bilingual Declamation Event was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering linguistic and communicative skills among its students. It provided a platform for over 50 students to explore the nuances of two rich languages, English and Urdu, and express themselves with eloquence and confidence. The event commenced with an enthusiastic opening ceremony, with the Holy name of Allah (S.W.T) where students, and teachers, gathered to support the young orators. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation, setting the stage for a memorable evening. Participants from grades IX, X & XI took turns on the stage, each delivering a declamation speech in both English and Urdu. The topics ranged from pressing societal issues to inspiring personal experiences. The versatility displayed by the participants was truly commendable, as they seamlessly transitioned between the two languages, captivating the audience with their words. The judges faced the arduous task of evaluating the performances, as the speeches were not only well-articulated but also conveyed profound messages. Field Trip 2023 Exposure to historical places like Quaid-e-Azam house, Frere hall Library, and Mohatta Place took place on the 12th of January for O’level Girls of The Intellect School. Students witnessed Quaid’s lifestyle, the elegance of the furniture and cutlery, and a beautiful garden. At Frere Hall Library, more than 70,000 books are not well-kept, however, the oldest book was from the 16th Century including a newspaper archive dating back to the year 1958.
